UsenetServer Terms of Use

UsenetServer provides access to Usenet under specific usage guidelines intended to promote responsible access and maintain system integrity. This is a summary. Full terms of use can be found here. All users of our service must agree to our terms of use. Please read them before joining our service.

Acceptable Use

Accounts must be used in a fair and responsible manner. Activities that disrupt UsenetServer's network, affect performance for others, or violate applicable laws are prohibited. These include, but are not limited to, unauthorized access attempts, abusive behaviors, or excessive automated usage patterns that impact system performance.

Account Sharing and Access

UsenetServer accounts are assigned to individual users and are not to be shared. Each account is permitted one login session at a time, unless otherwise specified by the service plan. Simultaneous access from multiple IP addresses under a single account is not permitted unless allowed under specific account types.

Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for all activity associated with their accounts. This includes maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and monitoring access to prevent unauthorized use.

Article Retention and Access

UsenetServer offers long-term article retention across all supported newsgroups. The duration of access varies by newsgroup type. Retention limits are published on the UsenetServer website and may change without notice as part of system maintenance or upgrades.

Automated Tools and Indexers

Usage of automated tools, scripts, or Indexers must not interfere with service availability or disrupt access for other users. Activities that generate excessive server requests or create abnormal traffic patterns are subject to restriction.

Security and Enforcement

UsenetServer reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in violation of these terms. Any behavior that compromises service quality, system stability, or user privacy may lead to corrective action.

Changes to the Terms

These terms are subject to change at UsenetServer's discretion. Continued use of the service after updates constitutes agreement to the revised terms.
