When Is the Credit or Debit Card Pre-Authorized?

During the UsenetServer sign-up process, a temporary hold may be placed on your credit or debit card. This pre-authorization is used to confirm the validity of your payment method. It is not an actual charge and will not result in a deduction from your account.

The pre-authorization is generally removed within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your financial institution's policies. If you are using a debit card, the hold may temporarily reduce your available balance until it is released.

Pre-authorization is a standard practice used by many online services to verify account details before activating access. This process helps confirm that the payment method provided is active and valid at the time of registration.

Questions About Card Holds

If the pre-authorization does not clear within the expected time frame or if you have concerns about how your bank is handling the hold, it is best to contact your bank or card provider directly. They can provide specific information about how pre-authorizations are managed on their end.
