Within NZBGet you are able to set up multiple NNTP servers. This allows feeds from more than one provider, which you may find useful.

To add a second server:

  1. Click on the “Settings” button in the top right of the main menu area.

  2. Click on “Newsserver” from the far left menu; it’s near the top.

  3. Here you will see your Server #1 settings, which we’re hoping is set to UsenetServer.com.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click the “Add another server” button.

  5. For this new server, enter your new server details as before with the additional changes.

Changing Server Levels and Groups

Now that you have the second server’s settings entered, you need to update the server level and group so they will be used separately from your original server.

  1. Still inside the “News-Servers” menu scroll to your primary server.

  2. Review the settings for Server1.Level and verify that this is set to 0.

  3. Next check the settings for Server1.Group and verify that this is set to 0.

  4. With those settings verified. scroll to the second/backup server settings. In our example it will be Server2.

  5. Scroll down to the Server2 settings; this will be on the same page as your original server.

  6. Scroll down to the settings for Server2.Level and change this from 0 to 1.

  7. Next, scroll down to the settings for Server2.Group; also change this from 0 to 1.

  8. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Save all changes” button on the very bottom left of the page.

Now you have a second server setup on NZBGet. This will add in additional flexibility in how your downloads proceed.
